It is too easy to feel sorry for myself. If you have tried diet after diet, you probably feel the same way. Let's face it! There is no good diet. Look around you. 65% of Americans are overweight or obese. There are people out there who have dieted all their life and there are many who have had lap band surgery or bypass surgery, and they are still overweight. Now I would really be feeling sorry for myself if I had spent all that money for surgery and a few years later I am fat again!

The real key to losing weight is to make a commitment that lasts a lifetime. There will not be a drastic change all at once. It will be gradual changes as I make my own lifetime Fat loss>CLICK HERE! diet plan!

Whole grains
This group includes foods made from wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley or another cereal grain. Examples are bread, pasta, oatmeal, breakfast cereals and grits. Just make sure the word "whole" is in front of any of these products you buy.

Vegetables
Eat more vegetables. Include dark green ones, orange ones and beans and peas.

Fruits
Fresh fruit is best. Frozen, canned or dried are acceptable, just check the sugar content.

Dairy Products
Use low-fat or fat-free. Yogurt is in this group and is good for you and your digestive system.

Protein
This includes eggs, beef, poultry, fish, dried beans, nuts, seeds and peanut butter. Foods in this category will fill you up and keep the hunger away longer.

That is my fat loss diet plan. Pretty simple, right? I plan to choose healthy foods from now on and follow this plan. There will be times, I "fall off the wagon" but I plan to climb right back on and keep on "trucking."

Oh, yeah, I plan to throw some exercise in there along the way. Everybody says exercise is the key to losing weight, losing it faster and keeping it off! We will see, won't we?

They eat and eat and eat again to add fat to their frame! I do not know any of them personally, however. So as I said in the beginning, I do not know anyone who wants to be fat!

Diets do not work long term. There are articles in every magazine on losing weight and a new way to do it. Everyone you talk to is on a diet, planning to go on a diet, or has been on a diet. Isn't that an indication diets don't work?

I have been writing a lot about obesity here lately. Why you ask? It is a subject dear to my heart because I have been fighting obesity all my adult life! Overeating is an addiction such as gambling. However, with gambling you can simply stop gambling, walk away from it, and never gamble again. I am not saying it is easy to do that, but it can be done. You do not have to ever go around gambling again! That is not true of food. You cannot just walk away from food and never go around it again, because you must eat to survive!

Nowadays you can find a restaurant or fast food drive-in on every corner. We can order any kind of food we want and take it home with us. It is easier to order diner and take it home than it is to cook our own dinner! Plus, we want Mexican food instead of a healthy salad with a little dressing on the side, ½ a baked potato and some green beans.

It is time to wake up America. We are killing ourselves with processed foods. We eat food we pick up on the way home after work, we watch television as we eat it, we clean up the leftovers and dirty containers, watch more television, and we exercise our fingers using the remote control.
